Elk leather is expected to have natural marking and vary slightly between each bag. The leather will darken over time with the natural oils from your skin and the conditions that the bag will be exposed to.

All Elk hide comes first hand from the Rocky Mountains.

Treat the bag with love and care and the life of the bag will last longer. Be aware of where you are setting the bag down. Store the bag on a shelf when not in use, and it is always good to keep it in a dust bag when not used for a long period of time.

Please do not use chemical cleaners to care for the leather. If the leather is to get wet put in a dry cool place until dry, do not dry with heat. If there is a marking where the bag got wet let it sit for a day and as it is used, the leather will naturally take in the spot and it will disappear in a short time with the use of the bag.

All leather is Genuine Italian leather.

Every bag comes with an Authentic Tote/Dust bag. The purpose of the dust bag is to store your bag while not in use. But when you are using your beautiful bag you can throw the Tote bag in your Lona Gutknecht bag and use it to carry other items that you might otherwise have to use a plastic bag or your hands and arms.
